If our cleaner accidentally breaks or damages something during a clean, we ask that you let us know within 48 hours of the service so we can investigate. Most issues can be resolved through repair, replacement, or fair-value reimbursement, depending on the item.

Our cleaners are independent contractors who carry their own insurance, and Bear Brothers carries general liability insurance to cover legitimate damage claims. To report an issue, just call or text us at 256-633-6332 and we’ll take care of it.
You don’t need to be home for the clean itself — most of our customers are at work, running errands, or out enjoying their day while we clean. Just let us know how to access your home (lockbox code, garage code, hidden key, etc.) and we’ll take care of the rest.
However, you do need to be present at the end of the clean for a post-clean walkthrough on any one-time or first-time clean for our Beary Clean Guarantee to apply.
The walkthrough takes just a few minutes. Our cleaner will walk you through the home so you can confirm everything meets your expectations before they leave. This protects both of us — you get to flag anything immediately while the cleaner is still on-site, and we get to make it right on the spot rather than scheduling a re-clean later.
For recurring cleans (after your first clean), walkthroughs are not required. By that point we know your home, your preferences, and your standards — and you’ve established trust with our team.
Our payment process is designed to protect both you and our cleaners — and it works a little differently depending on the type of service.
We place a hold on your card 24 hours before the scheduled clean to confirm funds are available. You won’t be charged at this point — it’s just a temporary hold to ensure everything is ready to go.

Please allow for an hour arrival window from the start of your scheduled appointment. Cleaners can occasionally run a few minutes late due to traffic, prior job timing, or weather — the one-hour window builds in flexibility so you don’t need to worry if they aren’t there at the exact minute.

We ask that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This gives our cleaners time to adjust their schedules and ensures we can offer your time slot to other customers.
Cancellations or reschedules made within 24 hours of your appointment may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. This fee exists because our cleaners plan their day around your booking — when a job cancels last-minute, they lose income they were counting on.

We assign the same cleaner to your home on recurring schedules so there’s continuity — a known, consistent person who learns your home, your preferences, your routine, and your standards over time. If your assigned cleaner is unavailable for a specific date, we send another vetted cleaner who works to the same published checklist.

Common add-ons like inside oven, inside fridge, and detailed baseboards or blinds are easy to add to any scope. Spot cleaning means wiping visible smudges, fingerprints, and marks off the inside of windows in main living areas — not a full window detail wash. For full interior window cleaning throughout, ask about adding it on; for exterior windows, we recommend a window-specific service.
